Sagar Chandra & Associates is a boutique intellectual property law firm founded in 2009 and based in New Delhi, working across India and internationally. The firm handles contentious and non-contentious matters in trademarks, copyrights, patents, designs, geographical indications, domain names, trade secrets and unfair competition, as well as media and entertainment laws. It is led by Sagar Chandra and Ishani Chandra, who between them bring nearly two decades of experience in intellectual property rights.

The firm has announced an opening for a Paralegal in its Trademark Prosecution practice. This is an on-site role at the firm's New Delhi office. The position is open to candidates with 2 to 6 years of post-qualification experience.

• Docket statutory deadlines and ensure timely filings and compliance across matters.
• File and manage trademark, copyright and design applications, including pre-filing and post-filing formalities.
• Support prosecution work covering examination reports, hearings, oppositions, rectifications, renewals, assignments, recordals and name or address changes.
• Prepare supporting legal documents such as powers of attorney and affidavits.
• Coordinate with clients, associates and the Intellectual Property Offices on filings and hearings.
• Support foreign trademark filings and prosecution.
• Maintain docketing systems and prepare status reports for clients.

• 2 to 6 years of post-qualification experience.
• Prior experience working with IP docketing systems.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite.

This is an on-site position based at the firm's office at S-35B, First Floor, Panchsheel Park South, Panchsheel Park, New Delhi 110017.
