Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Chanakya National Law University, Patna

Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna invites applications for its Post-Doctoral Fellowship under Rolling Advertisement No. 44/2026-27(Appt.) dated 04 July 2026. The positions are full-time and residential in nature, filled for a fixed term of two years, extendable by one more year. Selected Fellows carry out advanced research at the university in their registered area of specialization and may offer an elective or seminar course.

The University pays a monthly fellowship of Rs. 90,000. Fellows cannot accept or hold any other paid appointment during the tenure of the award, and may be entitled to additional amounts as per University rules if they bring in projects or consultancy assignments.

• A Doctoral Degree in Law, Social Sciences, Humanities, Management, or any discipline related to Law in multidisciplinary research.
• At least three publications in UGC-CARE listed, Scopus indexed, Web of Science, or peer-reviewed journals.
• All things being equal, preference is given to candidates with publications in Scopus/Web of Science indexed journals or books published by reputed international houses (Oxford, Cambridge, Hart, Sweet & Maxwell, etc.).
• Fellows are expected to publish at least two research papers annually in Web of Science or Scopus listed journals, or a book with a reputed international publisher.

The last date for submission of the duly filled application form with relevant annexures is 25 July 2026 (4:00 p.m.). Selection is based primarily on the quality of publications, teaching and research experience, an interview, and a presentation of the research proposal.
