Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), a Central University at Lucknow, has issued Employment Notice No. BBAU/T/01/2026 dated 10 September 2026, inviting online applications for regular teaching positions across several departments.

Under the School of Legal Studies at the main campus in Lucknow, the notice advertises two regular Professor posts: one in Law and one in Human Rights.

The University reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post, draw reserve panels, or increase or decrease the posts under any category, so the number of positions is open to change.

• LL.M. in Law and Ph.D. Degree in Law.
• Other qualifications and conditions as per the UGC Regulations, 2018 for the post of Professor.

Candidates must satisfy either A or B:

• A: An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research, with a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed journals and a total research score of 120 as per Appendix II, Table 2 of the UGC Regulations, 2018; and a minimum of ten years of teaching experience in a university/college as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, and/or research experience at an equivalent level at a University or National Level Institution, with evidence of having successfully guided a doctoral candidate.
• B: An outstanding professional with a Ph.D. in the relevant/allied/applied discipline from any academic institution or industry, who has made a significant contribution to knowledge in the discipline, supported by documentary evidence, and who has ten years' experience.

Eligibility in every respect is determined as on the last date of submission of the online application form.

Professor posts carry Academic Level 14 (Pay Range: Rs 1,44,200 - Rs 2,18,200), as stated in the advertisement.

• General / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates: Rs 1,000
• SC / ST / EWS / PwBD / Women candidates: Rs 500

The fee is non-refundable. Incomplete applications and applications without the applicable fee will be summarily rejected.

Candidates who applied for the Professor of Law post against the earlier Advt. No. BBAU/T/01/2025 dated 14.11.2025 need not apply again. For the Professor of Human Rights post, candidates who applied against Advt. No. BBAU/T/01/2025 and were found eligible after screening need not apply again. Their earlier application forms will be considered under this advertisement.
