The International Economic Law Interest Group of the American Society of International Law (ASIL) is running a multi-part webinar series on publishing in international economic law. This is the second session in that series, and it is devoted to journals.
According to ASIL’s event listing, the session brings together the former editors of the Journal of International Economic Law to speak about best practices for authors, changes in publishing topics and the use of AI, and to offer practical advice to future authors. ASIL lists it on its calendar as an ASIL Event.

About the Organiser
The International Economic Law Interest Group is one of ASIL’s interest groups. ASIL describes it as devoted to the study and practice of international economic law, engaging in conferences and study projects, and fostering greater understanding and education in the field. It publishes a newsletter and runs an e-mail listserv for its members.
Date, Time and Format
The webinar runs on Friday, 16 October 2026 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm US Eastern Time. ASIL’s own calendar export sets this as 16:00 to 17:00 UTC, which is 9:30 pm to 10:30 pm IST on 16 October 2026 in India. The session is held online.
Who Can Attend
ASIL’s event listing sets no eligibility condition for attendance, and its registration portal accepts registrants from any country, including India. The subject matter makes it most useful for researchers, doctoral scholars, early-career academics and practitioners who plan to publish in international trade, investment and economic law journals.
Registration and Fee
Registration is handled through ASIL’s online event portal, linked from the Register button on the official event page. The portal opens on a Confirm Identity step, where an existing ASIL account holder logs in and a new user creates a basic account. It then moves through Badge and Contact Information, Registration Options, Confirmation and Checkout.
ASIL does not state a registration fee for this webinar on its event page, its events calendar or the interest group page. Any fee would only appear at the Registration Options step, so check that screen before you confirm. Registration queries can go to the ASIL Member and Subscriber Service Center.
