National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJA, Assam) has invited applications for engagement on a contractual basis under its DPIIT-IPR Chair, established under the Scheme for Pedagogy & Research in IPRs for Holistic Education & Academia (SPRIHA). The appointments shall initially be for a period of one (01) year. The engagement may be extended further, subject to the performance of the candidate and continuation of the Chair.
In the event that no suitable candidate is available for the position of Research Officer, or the position remains unfilled, the University may engage an additional Research Assistant against the said position. Accordingly, a maximum of two (02) Research Assistants may be engaged, subject to the availability of suitable candidates and approval of the competent authority.
The DPIIT-IPR Chair at National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam was instituted by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, in 2018 under the Scheme for Pedagogy & Research in IPRs for Holistic Education & Academia (SPRIHA).
The Chair is established with the objective of promoting and facilitating Intellectual Property education, research, capacity building, awareness, and academic engagement, with particular emphasis on Intellectual Property issues relevant to the North-Eastern Region of India.
The engagement is purely contractual, initially for one year, extendable subject to performance and continuation of the Chair.
The Research Officer and Research Assistant shall work under the overall guidance and supervision of the DPIIT-IPR Chair and shall assist in the research, academic, training, outreach, documentation, and administrative activities of the Chair.
