Research Associate (1 Position), Family Courts Study at NLU Jodhpur [remote; apply by 31 October 2026]

The Centre for Family Law at NLU Jodhpur is conducting a study, “Assessing the Efficacy of Family Courts: A Case Study from Rajasthan”, to evaluate how Family Courts in Rajasthan are functioning in practice. Based on fieldwork in Jaipur, Jodhpur and Alwar, the project looks at court infrastructure, delays and counselling support to recommend practical legal and policy reforms. It invites applications for one position of Research Associate.

• LLM in Law or allied subjects with a minimum of 55% in marks.
• Strong research skills (qualitative analysis; NVivo preferred).
• Excellent academic writing (publications preferred).
• Prior engagement in a research project is preferred.

• Data analysis (thematic).
• Report writing and publication assistance.
• Coordination with stakeholders.

The engagement is for two months (if extended, not more than 3 months). The stipend is ₹40,000/- per month, subject to the completion of the work. The work is remote, subject to physical presence if required. These are contractual positions.
