The JSW Centre for the Future of Law (JSW-CFL), established in 2024 at NLSIU Bengaluru with the support of the JSW Foundation, advances research and policy debate on law, technology and system reform. The Centre is inviting applications for one full-time Research Associate.
The Research Associate will work closely with the Faculty Director to incubate the Centre's research activities, coordinate programmes, develop grant proposals, and manage its fellowship and internship schemes. This is a fresh call posted on 9 July 2026, superseding the earlier May 2026 listing.
Essential: a Bachelor's degree in Law; a minimum of 3 years post-qualification work experience in research roles; and a demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Desirable: a Master's degree in any discipline; expertise in the Centre's thematic priority areas; an understanding of technology's implications for law; published research or equivalent outputs; and strong academic, policy and public writing and editing skills.
This is a full-time contractual role for one year (extendable), based at the NLSIU campus in Bengaluru. The Centre is separately running a Short-Term Visiting Fellowship on a rolling basis for candidates with a PhD in law / public policy / allied fields or 10+ years of research experience.
