Research Internship at Centre for Competition Law and Economics (CCLE), Bengaluru (Hybrid, 2 Positions, 1 Month)

The Centre for Competition Law and Economics (CCLE) is an India-based law and policy think tank specialising in regulatory strategy, competition and good governance. It provides legal representation, stakeholder management, media and policy research services to public and private stakeholders, and its own job description records that it has advised the Competition Commission of India, MeitY and the Department of Consumer Affairs, and collaborates frequently with industry and civil-society partners.

CCLE runs from Bengaluru and is an initiative under the Sherman Foundation for Competition Law and Economics, a Section 8 company registered under the Companies Act, 2013.

CCLE is taking two Research Interns for the month of August 2026. The job description sets the role out as follows:

The Centre describes the work as sitting in competition law, technology policy and international trade, and says selected candidates are put on running projects where they get to engage with government functionaries and civil-society leaders.

• The candidate should be in the final year of her registered programme.
• Early-stage candidates could be considered on a case-to-case basis.

Those are the only two eligibility conditions the job description states. It does not restrict the internship to law students, and it does not prescribe a minimum CGPA or a fixed institution list.

• Regularly monitor and compile national and international developments in competition law, technology policy and regulatory affairs.
• Participate in webinars and in-person conferences hosted by academic institutions.
• Prepare concise notes for the management.
• Conduct research and publish articles in various newspapers.
• Prepare content for social media posts and outreach.

The job description circulated by CCLE does not state a stipend, and the Centre's announcement does not mention one either. Treat the internship as unconfirmed on pay and ask the Centre directly before you commit.
