About Cashfree Payments

Cashfree Payments India Private Limited is a payments and API banking company that has operated in India's payments landscape since 2015. On its own account it processes roughly $80 billion annually for over a million businesses, running a full-stack platform that spans a payment gateway, payment links and forms, instant payouts, cross-border collections and one-click checkout, alongside its SecureID identity verification and KYC stack.

The company owns its end-to-end payment processing technology and states that its systems are built to handle up to 12,000 transactions per second. Because it sits in the flow of funds for a very large merchant base, Cashfree deals routinely with law enforcement requests, account lien and freeze orders, recovery matters and regulatory coordination, which is the work this role exists to handle.

About the role

The opening is for a Senior Associate - Law Enforcement Agency within the Risk & Compliance department. Cashfree describes it as a Law Enforcement and Litigation position responsible for managing LEA interactions, supporting investigations and litigation matters, and driving timely resolution of escalations.

The role is explicitly built around field work: extensive travel, stakeholder coordination, process improvement and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. It is a full-time, on-site position.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between the organisation and local law enforcement agencies.
  • Travel extensively to meet and coordinate with Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs).
  • Oversee investigations support ticket analysis to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Plan, schedule and promote law enforcement meetings, conferences and training sessions.
  • Handle escalations to satisfaction, conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Identify and share industry best practices, and work with cross-functional teams to assess their feasibility and implementation.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across the organisation and function, which includes understanding and ensuring compliance in letter and spirit with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Eligibility and experience required

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience managing Law Enforcement Agency (LEA) interactions, litigation support, investigations or regulatory coordination, preferably within the payments, fintech, banking or financial services industry.
  • Prior experience involving extensive travel for in-person meetings and coordination with Law Enforcement Agencies, or handling litigation matters before courts, is mandatory.
  • Prior experience or exposure to lien matters, recovery matters and litigation is preferred.

Skills the team is looking for

  • Willingness to travel extensively as required.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple complex projects and programmes simultaneously.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, coordination and follow-up skills.

Location, work mode and travel

The position is based at Bellandur, Bengaluru, Karnataka and is listed as an On-Site role with a Full Time job type. It is not a remote or hybrid posting.

Applicants should read the travel requirement seriously rather than as boilerplate: the advert lists prior experience of extensive travel for in-person LEA coordination or court litigation as a mandatory requirement, and repeats willingness to travel extensively among the skills sought.

Compensation

Cashfree Payments has not published a salary range or CTC band for this requisition. The advert states the job type as Full Time but is silent on remuneration, so candidates should expect the figure to be discussed during the recruitment process rather than inferred from the posting.

How to apply

Applications are taken only through Cashfree Payments' own careers portal, hosted on the Kula applicant tracking system. Open the application form linked below, upload your resume in PDF or DOCX format (the form offers an autofill-from-resume option) and complete the remaining fields.

No closing date has been published. The requisition is open on the careers portal as of the date of this listing and is expected to remain open until the position is filled, so early application is advisable.
