About RGNUL and CASLW

Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab was established by the State Legislature in 2006 as a premier institution of national stature for legal education. It is approved by the Bar Council of India, recognised by the UGC under Sections 2(f) and 12-B, and was accredited with an 'A' Grade by NAAC in 2015.

The Centre for Advanced Studies in Labour Welfare (CASLW) was set up to strengthen and improve the labour justice system in India by protecting the rights and dignity of workers and their families. It works to spread awareness of the constitutional and legal rights of workers, supports the education of labourers' children on campus, and runs workshops, seminars and essay competitions on issues faced by workers in both the organised and unorganised sectors. The Centre also engages with national and international concerns around human rights and human dignity of labourers.
