Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University, Jaipur, a State University established by the Government of Rajasthan and dedicated exclusively to legal education, research and training, is organising a Six-Day Online Faculty Development Programme on “Upgrading Law Teaching, Pedagogy and Research in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies” in collaboration with the Global Academy of Law-Tech Education and Research (GALTER), Hyderabad.
The programme runs from Monday 16 November to Saturday 21 November 2026, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM IST each day, as live online sessions. It comprises an inaugural session, technical sessions by national and international resource persons, panel discussions, participant presentations and a valedictory session.
Objectives
- Familiarise law teachers with the foundations, vocabulary and current capabilities of AI and allied emerging technologies.
- Equip participants with practical pedagogical tools for integrating technology into legal teaching, assessment and evaluation.
- Strengthen competence in AI-assisted legal research, academic writing and research supervision, while safeguarding rigour and originality.
- Examine the ethical, regulatory and academic-integrity questions arising from the use of AI in legal education and the justice delivery system.
- Encourage curriculum innovation and institutional readiness for technology-integrated legal education.
- Build a continuing network of law teachers engaged with law, technology and governance.
Programme structure
- Day 1 (16 Nov): Re-imagining legal education in the age of AI: AI literacy for law teachers, socio-legal perspectives, ethical challenges of AI in legal education and research.
- Day 2 (17 Nov): AI and legal research: AI-assisted research tools, research methodology in the age of AI, Indian and international practice.
- Day 3 (18 Nov): Constitutional foundations, internet governance and IP: constitutional perspectives on AI, internet and AI, cyber security, IPR in the AI era.
- Day 4 (19 Nov): Data protection and the cyber legal regime: the IT Act and the DPDP Act, digital and cyber forensics, deepfakes and emerging issues.
- Day 5 (20 Nov): Ethics, governance and the future of the legal profession: panel discussions with national and international experts.
- Day 6 (21 Nov): Extended participant presentations before a panel of experts, valedictory session and distribution of certificates.

The indicative list of resource persons includes Prof. (Dr.) Paramjit S. Jaswal (Principal Advisor to the Chancellor, SRM University, Gurugram), Prof. (Dr.) V. Vijay Kumar (former Vice-Chancellor), Prof. (Dr.) Ranbir Singh (Founding Vice-Chancellor, NALSAR Hyderabad and NLU Delhi), Prof. (Dr.) Tabrez Ahmad, Prof. (Dr.) V. K. Singh, Mrs. Anuradha Maheshwari (Founder, LEX MANTIS), Gp. Capt. (Retd.) Anand Pola Naidu, and international experts Prof. Dr. Jorg Molt (Germany), Dr. Josina Rodriguez (USA) and Prof. Dr. Sindhu Bhaskar (USA). The organisers state that more experts are being confirmed.

Fee and what it covers
The registration fee is Rs 1,200 per participant and is not refundable. It covers participation in all sessions of the six-day programme, a soft copy of the programme material and reading resources, and an e-certificate of participation on meeting the attendance requirement. Participants who present on Day 6 receive a separate certificate.
Awards for outstanding participants
The best-performing participants will be felicitated with Awards of Excellence, conferred jointly by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University, Jaipur and GALTER.

- Registration and payment are completed together on the University's ICICI Bank payment portal. Fill in your name, gender, mobile number, email, designation, institution and state, and pay the fixed fee of Rs 1,200.
- The form requires a declaration that your institution has no objection to your participation from 16 to 21 November 2026. You must email the No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by your institution's competent authority to fdpalugalter2026@gmail.com before the programme begins.
