The Faculty of Law, Kalinga University, Naya Raipur, in association with Surana & Surana International Attorneys, Chennai, announces the Surana & Surana JUDEX 4.0 Human Rights Law Moot Court Competition, 2026-2027. The competition aims to create opportunities for learning and to facilitate the development of jurisprudence in the emerging field of human rights law, offering a forum for discussion on contemporary developments while fostering cutting-edge skills in research, writing, and advocacy.
This is the 7th moot court competition hosted by Kalinga University and continues its collaboration with Surana & Surana International Attorneys, whose Academic Initiatives division pioneered moot court competitions in India and now runs the world’s largest moot court program.
Human Rights Law (aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals). The specific moot proposition and rules are available in the official documents.
Team members must be valid undergraduate students pursuing a law program (5-year / 3-year course) or equivalent from a recognised University / College / Institution.
Each team shall consist of two speakers and one researcher (minimum 2, maximum 3 members), with one designated primary contact person. One team per university/institution.

Hybrid. Inaugural ceremony, orientation, draw of lots and preliminary rounds are held online via Google Meet (10th–11th July 2026). Octa/Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals and Finals are held on-campus at the Faculty of Law, Kalinga University, Naya Raipur (7th–8th August 2026).
