The Irish Yearbook of International Law is an annual, peer-reviewed publication devoted to scholarship in public and private international law. It is published by Hart/Bloomsbury. The Editors of the Yearbook are Michael A. Becker (Trinity College Dublin), Venkat Iyer (University of Ulster) and Owen McIntyre (University College Cork).
The Editors invite submissions on any area of international law for publication as an article in Volume XVIII of the Yearbook. A connection to, or relevance for, Irish practice in international law is welcomed but is not a requirement for submission.
The Editors have indicated particular interest in contributions addressing the following areas, though submissions on any area of international law are welcome:
Separately from the call for articles, the Yearbook invites proposals for book reviews on recent titles relating to international law. Book review proposals are handled by a different editor and carry an earlier deadline than article submissions.
Article submissions should be sent by email to Owen McIntyre at o.mcintyre@ucc.ie by Friday, 16 October 2026. Book review proposals should be sent by email to Venkat Iyer at v.iyer@ulster.ac.uk by Monday, 31 August 2026.
The call for papers states no submission fee and no publication fee. Submission is free.
