Three-Year LL.B. Admission 2027-28 at Symbiosis Law School, Pune (Symbiosis AIAT on 19 December 2026; Apply by 4 December)

Symbiosis Law School (SLS), Pune, a constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), has opened online applications for its Three-Year LL.B. programme for the 2027-28 batch. SLS Pune reintroduced the three-year LL.B. in 2014, and the programme is meant for graduates from any background who want professional legal training.

• Duration: three years, full time
• Pattern: semester system, six semesters in all
• Sanctioned intake: 60 students
• Medium of instruction: English
• Campus: Viman Nagar, Pune
• Classes begin: first week of July 2027 (tentative)

Graduates of any recognised University or Institution of National Importance with at least 45% marks or an equivalent grade. The minimum is 40% or an equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.

Candidates must check for themselves that they meet the eligibility conditions. Provisional admission does not mean eligibility has been accepted. Symbiosis International (Deemed University) decides final eligibility once the admission norms are met.

All admissions to the three-year LL.B. are made through the Symbiosis All India Admission Test (AIAT). The test is computer-based and held at select test centres across India. The list of centres is on the AIAT registration portal. The AIAT has three parts:

• Writing sample (40 marks): two subjective questions of 20 marks each on social, political and legal issues, 65 minutes
• Objective questions (20 marks): 10 multiple-choice questions on general knowledge, legal reasoning and reading comprehension
• Online psychometric test (10 marks): 20 minutes. Answers lock once entered, and unanswered questions lapse when time runs out

Candidates who clear the AIAT are invited to an online Personal Interaction (PI) of 30 marks, lasting 6 to 8 minutes. It assesses personal attributes, fit, work experience, global outlook, professionalism, ethics, values and the statement of purpose.

• A Statement of Purpose of not more than 250 words, uploaded as a soft copy
• A scanned Letter of Recommendation covering conduct, character and traits, from the Head, Supervisor or a Professor of your institute or college
• Other relevant documents, uploaded as per the AIAT schedule

Keep the originals, including the SOP and the reference letter, ready for the PI. Candidates applying under a reserved category (SC, ST, PwD, Kashmiri Migrant, wards of Defence Personnel) must upload the relevant certificate from the competent authority.

The registration fee for the AIAT and PI is Rs 2,150. It is paid online (RTGS, credit or debit card, NEFT or online banking) through the AIAT registration form, by 11:59 PM on 4 December 2026. No travel or other expenses are paid for attending the AIAT.

The academic fee structure for the 2027-28 batch has not been published yet. The admission page says it will be updated soon.

For reference, the same page lists the fee for the 2026-29 batch (AY 2026-27) as academic fees of Rs 3,39,000 plus a refundable institute deposit of Rs 20,000, a total of Rs 3,59,000.

Within the sanctioned intake: Scheduled Caste 15%, Scheduled Tribe 7.5%, Persons with Disabilities 3%, and wards of serving or retired Defence Personnel 5%.

Over and above the sanctioned intake: two seats per programme for Kashmiri Migrants and Kashmiri Pandit or Kashmiri Hindu families living in the Valley, and 25% for international students (including foreign nationals, PIOs and NRIs).

PwD candidates must upload a disability certificate and UDID card when registering. SIU does not provide a scribe, and PwD candidates get 20 minutes of compensatory time for every 60 minutes of test.

Register on the official SLS Pune LL.B. 2027 portal (ishinfo), fill in the form and pay the Rs 2,150 fee online before 4 December 2026. The admit card follows on 11 December 2026.

International candidates, including PIOs and NRIs, apply through the Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE), Senapati Bapat Road, Pune, and not through the AIAT portal.
