The UPES Law Review is the flagship annual peer-reviewed law journal of the School of Law, UPES, Dehradun, published by Eastern Book Company (EBC). It began publication in 2013 and carries ISSN 2347-9620. The journal describes itself on its official page as a UGC-CARE listed academic annual peer reviewed journal.
For its eleventh cycle, the UPES Law Review invites original and unpublished submissions on the theme Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Law. The call is open to academicians, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and scholars.
The journal's standing format rules, as published on its official page, are:
Submit the extended abstract of approximately 500 words through the official Microsoft Forms abstract submission form linked below (the same form the QR code on the official UPES poster points to). The form asks for the author's name, co-author's name, designation, affiliation, email ID, title of the paper, contact number, and the abstract along with keywords.
Full papers are sent by email to upeslawreview@ddn.upes.ac.in in .doc/.docx format. The file name must contain the name of the author(s) and the title of the submission, and the submission must be accompanied by a cover letter stating the full name of the author(s), position/designation, institutional affiliations, and contact details.
Submissions must be the original work of the authors and must not be published elsewhere; submissions with plagiarised content or copyright issues are rejected outright. After initial screening, short-listed submissions go through a double-blind peer review process and final selection is based on that procedure. By sending a submission, the author(s) agree to assign exclusive copyright in the work to the UPES Law Review. The editors reserve the right to edit submissions for publication.
No publication charge or submission fee is stated for this call at the official source.
At the time of drafting, the UPES Law Review page on the UPES website still displays the previous cycle (Volume X, theme 'Law, Society and Technology', with 2025 dates), and the 'Submit Abstract' button on that page leads to a form that is now closed. The Volume XI (2026) call, its 20 July 2026 abstract deadline, and the live abstract submission form are confirmed by the official UPES School of Law call-for-papers poster and by the submission form hosted on the UPES Microsoft 365 tenant, which is open. Use the registration link below rather than the button on the website.
