The GD Goenka – CIArb (India) International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition returns for its 8th edition as the flagship moot of the School of Law, GD Goenka University. Organised by the Moot Court Committee in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) – India, the Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF) and the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) – Singapore, the competition simulates authentic international arbitral proceedings argued before seasoned arbitrators and practitioners. It offers participants an immersive platform to engage with cutting-edge issues in international commercial arbitration and to test their advocacy before an expert bench.
The 2026 edition is built around Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations in international commercial arbitration — one of the most pressing and rapidly evolving areas in cross-border dispute resolution, examining how ESG obligations and disputes are increasingly arbitrated on the international stage.
