VLS MUN 2026 (8th Edition) at VIT School of Law, Chennai (23-24 October 2026)

VLS MUN (VITness Leadership Summit) is the flagship Model United Nations conference of VIT School of Law (VITSOL), Vellore Institute of Technology. The 8th edition, VLS MUN 2026, is a two-day conference to be held at the Chennai campus of VIT on 23 and 24 October 2026, under the motto "Connect. Compete. Conquer."

The conference aims to promote a deep understanding of current issues and to open the way to diplomatic solutions discussed with a holistic approach.

VIT School of Law entered legal education in 2014 as part of Vellore Institute of Technology, founded in 1984. The School runs Moot Court and Debate societies and regularly organises national and international moots, debate competitions, conferences, seminars, workshops and legal aid programmes. The conference is chaired by Prof. (Dr.) Rabbiraj C., Dean, with Prof. (Dr.) Prema E. and Prof. (Dr.) Rajavenkatesan P. R. L. as Convenors. The student secretariat is led by Secretary General K G Sai Samyukhtha and Director General Bhavesh D.

• IPC: International Press Corps, with Journalism and Photographer roles.

Students from any educational institution may register, either individually or as part of a college delegation. The registration form asks for the applicant's institution, previous MUN experience and any awards won at earlier conferences.

• Delegation fee: Rs 1,500 per delegate.
• Payment is made through the VIT Events Hub.
• Accommodation charges are not included in the registration fee; the form asks whether you need accommodation.

• Check the portfolio matrix for the portfolios still available.
• Fill in the current round's application form with your details, two committee preferences and three portfolio preferences for each.
• Pay the Rs 1,500 delegation fee through the VIT Events Hub.

Applications are being taken in rounds (Round 3 is open at the time of writing). The organisers have not published a closing date. The conference begins on 23 October 2026, so treat 22 October 2026 as the practical last day to register, and apply early because portfolios are allotted from the matrix as they remain available.
